MESSAGE FROM HIMANSHU

Invest 20 minutes of your day with meditation. Practice 10 minutes of pranayama and  15 minutes of asana-sun salutations, blended with your own personal life experience.  Gain energy, a better quality of life, a positive outlook, and become stronger overcoming obstacles in life. Yoga practice is not a seasonal practice; It’s like brushing your teeth, if you're limited on time, do what you can but most important is to be consistent.

ABOUT

Himanshu (Hari), a second generation yoga practitioner, born in India by a yogic traditional family.  Throughout his childhood Himanshu (Hari) was inspired by his grandparents who lived a lifestyle driven by the teaching of yoga.  At 22 years old, inspired by his fathers compassion to help others, Himanshu followed in his footsteps and began to teach yoga.  Himanshu believes that yoga can only be experienced by each individual.  By deep meditation and reflection; one can truly experience the meaning of yoga.

Discovering the importance of consistency with my meditation practice.  Although my practice can feel forced at times it truly helped me navigate my emotions when there was so much going on in the world.

What is one thing you learned during the pandemic?

Q & A WITH HIMANSHU

Reflecting back on 2020 - What are some challenges you had to overcome and what was the impact from those challenges?

2020 was not a good year for me filled with uncertainty.  It was challenging with most businesses closed.  I shifted my approach from in person yoga classes to online yoga classes.  I didn't see myself wanting to do online classes in the past but the pandemic has forced me to learn the electronic approach for the betterment of my livelihood.  Currently I am offering teaching of yoga and meditation online for those who are having difficulty or fearful of returning back to indoor yoga/meditation classes.  Once things start to fully open back up, I foresee a retreat happening with my students.

What is one thing that excites you about SENSES?

To share my experience of yoga and mediation.  To support my guru bhai, my brother, Jano’s vision.

It’s now time to be here and I’m grateful to be part of it.

I see this as a rebirth opportunity to come out of what one has experienced within the last year during the pandemic. Come reprogram, and renew into a gifted new life. Celebrate and embrace yoga with ASANA PRANAYAMA and MEDITATION, overcoming the tough times we all went through during this last year.
